With a strong educational foundation from Escalante High School, Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico.  Mariella went on to pursue her passion for Office Administration, accumulating a significant number of college hours in the field.

After a fulfilling career in the public school system, the Chama Valley Independent School District, Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico and Dulce Independent School District, Dulce, New Mexico. Mariella transitioned into a new chapter of her life. Since June 2021, she has been an invaluable member of the United Country Northern NM Real Estate Office, in Chama, New Mexico, where her expertise and professionalism shine through in every interaction.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Mariella finds immense joy in spending quality time with her loving family. She cherishes every moment with her husband of 31 years, her children, and especially her grandchildren. Outside of family life, she indulges in her hobbies, including horseback riding, baking, cooking, sewing, and gardening, where she finds solace and creativity.

Melissa Clark Qualifying Broker

Melissa Clark has been a licensed New Mexico Real Estate Broker since 2000. She is employed as a Qualifying Broker for United Country Northern New Mexico Real Estate located in Chama NM, where she has lived and owned property since 1997. She has represented hundreds of Sellers and Buyers of Real Estate in the Chama area during her time there and enjoys every aspect of being a Realtor.  She is also the Western Region Business Consultant and a National Real Estate Trainer for United Country Real Estate and works closely with all of the United Country affiliates across the nation.

Hunter Battle Associate Broker

Hunter Battle has been a licensed New Mexico Real Estate Broker since September of 2017.  He is employed as an associate broker with United Country Northern NM Real Estate located in beautiful Chama NM.  Hunter previously worked as an orthopedic medical sales reresentative for Smith and Nephew and Stryker for nearly eighteen years covering Los Angeles, Washington DC and Austin TX.

Hunter, a native Texan, grew up visting New Mexico with his family at their vacation home where he fished, hunted, skied and learned about the amazing New Mexico culture.  He is now a full time resident living in the Ponderosa subdivision located on the mountain just south of Chama NM and owns Chama River property, hear Heron Lake.  Hunter has emersed himself working real estate across Northern NM representing horse properties, farmland, ranchland, river and lake properties, as well as, vacant land and cabins.  He is very familiar with the Chama area, including Tierra Amarilla, Ensenada, Los Ojos and both Heron and El Vado Lakes.  The Ponderosa Subdivision is his backyard so he is very knowledgeable about the in's and out's of water, power, access and much more.  With the Brazos area being such a hot spot for vacation and retirement homes, Hunter has expanded his reach up highway 512 as well.  

Hunter's primary focus is Northern New Mexico but he is licensed in the entire state of New Mexico and he is willing to serve buyers and sellers alike across the state, including Santa Fe, Taos, Red River and the Angel Fire areas.

Hunter's interests include fly fishing, hunting, hiking, skiing, and most outdoor mountain activities.  He loves to cook and spend time with his beloved dogs:  Leo, his bulldog and Reich, his rottweiler.  His greatest passions are his family and friends and he enjoys planning activities for them all to enjoy together.

Chris started his Real Estate career over 20 years ago in Colorado. After co-owning two Real Estate franchises in the Denver Metro area for the majority of his time there, he decided it was time for a change. Chris already owned property in Chama, New Mexico, and in 2021 decided to make it his full time home. When he found United Country NNMRE, it was an immediate fit!

Chris continues to hold his Colorado RE license and now focuses on helping buyers and sellers with their Real Estate needs in southern Colorado and northern New Mexico. With more than two decades of real estate experience, Chris has the knowledge to help clients navigate even the most difficult transactions. 

Carrie Smith Associate Broker

Carrie Smith has been working as a licensed New Mexico broker since 2023.  She is employed as an associate broker with United Country Northern NM Real Estate in Chama, NM.  She lives in the Ponderosa subdivision.  She focuses on village homes, residential lots, country homes, mountain property, and recreational hunting properties in Chama and the surrounding areas of the Chama Valley. 

Carrie graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, TX with a degree in Spanish.  She enjoyed teaching high school Spanish for six years.  She worked at the Four Sixes Ranch for ten years as Office Manager at the Dixon Creek Division.  She has also been a stay at home mom raising her three children Margaret, Julianna, and John David.
